About Xiangqi Online: Ebony Hall
Xiangqi Online: Ebony Hall is a quiet, serious room for live Chinese chess. A dark ebony board with gold inlaid lines sits under soft lamplight, and ivory discs carry deep red and green-black characters that stay crisp on any screen. Press quick match and you are paired with another player in seconds; sides are drawn at random, Red moves first, and every move is timed so the game keeps flowing. If no one is waiting, a strong computer player sits down so you can start right away. The server referees every rule: palace limits for the general and advisors, the elephant's eye and the river, the hobbled horse, the cannon's screen, the soldier's sideways steps after the river, and the ban on facing generals. Perpetual check loses, repeated positions are drawn, and a long stretch with no captures ends level. There are no take-backs or hints in the hall, only careful reading and clean tactics. Offer a draw, resign gracefully, or call for a rematch. Lose your connection and your seat is held for a minute so you can return to the same position. Every win earns points toward the leaderboard.
How to play
Sign in and press Quick match. Tap a piece, then a green dot, or drag it. Each move is timed; when time runs out a move is played for you. Checkmate the enemy general or leave it without a move to win. Draw offers and resignations are in the side panel.
