About Snowline Drifter
Snowline Drifter changes the classic control scheme in a way that completely changes how you think. Instead of holding a button, every tap flips your steering: tap once and the car carves right, tap again and it swings back left. That means you can take your finger off the screen and the car will happily keep turning in the same direction until you decide otherwise. The road is a frozen ridge high in the mountains, and it starts generous and wide. Do not get comfortable, though, because every three hundred meters the ice cracks away at the edges and the track becomes noticeably narrower, down to barely more than the width of your car. Early on you can be sloppy; later every tap has to land at exactly the right moment. Coins sparkle on the snow, the soundtrack stays calm and the mountains drift past in soft blue layers. If you have played hold-to-turn drifting games before, expect a few spectacular crashes while your brain adapts to toggling. Once it clicks, the tap rhythm becomes strangely relaxing, and chasing a longer distance on the narrowing ridge is hard to resist.
How to play
Tap (or press Space) to switch between turning right and turning left. The road gets narrower every 300 m — stay in the middle!
