About Midnight Mutant Market
The moon is up, the stars are out and the critter carpet glows neon purple. At midnight the market gets weird: glitter storms sweep across the blocky town every couple of minutes, and any creature caught in the sparkles can mutate into a gold, diamond or rainbow version worth up to ten times more. The night roster is full of gadget hybrids, like a koala carrying a glowing lantern, a monkey welded to a laptop, a giraffe with a floor lamp for a hat, an elephant wearing a satellite dish and the secret Cosmo Meowteor, a cat orbiting a space rock. Night owls are bold, though. Your five rivals try to sneak in and swipe your best critters far more often than in daylight, so this variant is all about defence. Upgrade your lock time, hire the guard pup early, keep an eye on the red alarm arrow and chase down thieves before they reach their own gate. When the coast is clear, return the favour and raid their glowing bases. Climb through twelve rebirths to build the most mutated zoo in the moonlight.
How to play
Move with WASD, arrow keys or clicks; drag on a phone. Press E or Space beside a carpet critter to buy it, and collect its earnings from the green pad. When a red alarm appears, follow the arrow and touch the thief to bonk them and save your pet. Lock your base with the red button and buy the guard pup. During glitter storms, critters can mutate. Hold E in a rival base to steal, then run home. Reach the goal and rebirth on the gold pad. While you carry loot, press E or Space (or tap the ⚡ button) to dash away from chasers.
