About Lava Ring Gauntlet
Lava Ring Gauntlet is sumo with the heat turned all the way up. A proud little lion stands on a ring of black basalt above a bubbling lake of lava, glowing runes mark the edge, embers drift through the red sky, and spectators watch from rocky perches. There is no tournament bracket here and no second chance: rivals step up one after another, each bout is first to two rounds, and the first bout you lose ends your run. The opening challengers are friendly warm-ups, a pig and a tiger who barely know what they are doing, but every new opponent is quicker to react, better at dodging at the rim, more eager to counter-charge, and often heavier too, until boars, polar bears and finally a massive elephant are shoving back with frightening force. Charging recharges a little faster than usual, so aggressive play is rewarded, but a charge that misses can carry you straight over the edge and into the lava. Your score is your win streak plus a bonus for every round taken, so every extra bout counts. How long can you keep your paws out of the fire?
How to play
Push with WASD or the arrow keys and press Space to charge; with a mouse or finger hold to push toward the pointer and flick to charge, or use the stick and lightning button on phones. Win each bout to face the next rival; one lost bout ends the run.
