About Lantern Crypt
Deep under the old abbey, the corridors are pitch black. Lantern Crypt is a maze chase played by the light of a single lantern: you can only see the stones a few steps around you, while the crypt's guardians — a spinning saw, a buzzing fly, a ringed worm and a stone block — roam the darkness and only their glowing red eyes give them away. Read the eyes, listen for danger and plan your route through fifteen haunted levels. The blue soul gems in the corners are your best friends: grab one and a burst of light floods the crypt, the guardians turn blue and flee, and for a few precious seconds you can see the whole maze and hunt them down for big points. As you go deeper, the lantern's circle shrinks, the guardians move faster and the light from each soul gem fades sooner, so later crypts are a real test of memory and nerve. Each level is one maze to clear; finish it without being caught for three stars. Every layout keeps the same rules as the classic chase — four guardian personalities, scatter and hunt phases, wrap-around tunnels — just with the lights off.
How to play
Swipe or use the arrow keys / WASD to choose your next turn. You can only see around your lantern — watch for glowing red eyes. Grab a soul gem to light up the crypt and chase the guardians, and clear every sparkle to finish the level.
